Everyone has imperfections, each of us may deny or embrace them.  However, they make us each unique and give us something to say.  These elongated forms echo that of a person and each vessel has its own unique markings.  The gold marks were placed on each vessel as an acknowledgement of the imperfections in the vessel.  This acknowledgment and embracing of the flaws was a conceptual window through which I reflected on my own shortcomings.  Ordaining these flaws with gold I make them precious, imbuing the vessels with an identity.
